Braswell High School opened in August 2016 and is named after retired Denton ISD teacher, administrator and superintendent, Dr Ray Braswell. This state-of-the-art high school is inspired by the four “C’s” of learning: communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking. With flexible features and spaces, Braswell High School encourages students to learn on a collaborative level and gives the campus the opportunity to be used for community focused events. In fact, VLK Architects won the 2019 Gold Brick Architecture Award for Braswell High School. First-class academic and extracurricular offerings in four “learning houses” naturally create smaller educational settings and provide students with individual learning. Braswell High School gives Sandbrock Ranch students in in grades 9th through 12th the skills, knowledge and positive attitude to succeed in school and life.
