Rodriguez Middle School, home of the Vipers, opened in the Fall of 2017 and is one of the newest schools in Denton ISD. Sandbrock Ranch residents are zoned to this middle school, which is named after the longtime public education advocates, Dr. Ruby and Rosemary Rodriguez. This middle school features 42 classrooms that are encompassed by open and collaborative learning areas filled with lots of natural light and courtyards that can be used for educational purposes. This building is a 176,000 square foot-state-of-the art campus supported by more than 300 geothermal wells and a self-sustaining retention pond, designed to be used as an educational tool and for energy efficiency. Rodriguez Middle School’s campus has the capacity to serve over 800 students in grade levels 6th through 8th, and all students participate in the full selection of academics and extra-curricular courses to prepare them for high school.
